The two streams available in 2024 are Blues & Roots (15 – 19 July 2024) and Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra (15 – 19 July 2024). Both streams are at capacity for 2024 and registrations are now closed.
Blues & Roots
15 - 19 July
The Blues & Roots program focuses on chord progressions, creative songwriting, collaborative development, and blues guitar techniques to help provide participants with the skills required to take the next step in their contemporary playing journey. With special guest tutors, this stream is aimed at players of all ages (14+) from beginner to intermediate level.
Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra
15 - 19 July
In 2024 we celebrate ten years of our Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra, rehearsing in the July school holidays, then returning for a special 10th anniversary concert during the festival in September.
Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra focuses on nylon string and classical techniques, ensemble playing, and music reading development. Led by Paul Svoboda, participants will rehearse in three sections which will come together for a full orchestral performance. The program is open to players of all ages but must be able to play at the equivalent of AMEB Grade 3 level or higher and have a good understanding of the fingerboard.
